Mozambique

Welcome to Mozambique! This is a picturesque country in southeast Africa with a long coastline along the Indian Ocean and bordering several other African countries. The country covers over 800,000 square kilometers and has a population of about 31 million people, making it the 35th largest in the world and the 8th largest in Africa.
Mozambique’s diverse geography includes coastal lowlands, mountains, and plateaus. It is home to several national parks with diverse flora and fauna, including some of the most famous rivers such as the Zambezi and the Limpopo. The country has a tropical climate with a rainy season from November to March and a dry season from April to October, with high temperatures in both seasons and more humidity in the coastal areas. The northern region is prone to cyclones. Mozambique’s average year-round temperature is 28° Celsius (82° Fahrenheit).

About the farm

Mozambique is located in Southeast Africa. Our 2000 square kilometer official safari concession is amongst some of Africa’s most diverse wildlife habitats. This area is one of the few left in Africa where you can still have a classic African safari.
The farm is part of the Marromeu region and borders the mighty Zambezi River to the north. The hunting area is located in the central part of coastal Mozambique. The range of wildlife is remarkable, with 21 huntable game species from the tiny Livingstone Suni to the Buffalo, including 4 of the Big 5.
The hunting area has 5 distinctive habitat types – sandy forest, tropical savanna, swamps, and floodplains, making this area completely unique. We are the longest-running concessionaire in Mozambique and have leased our site since 1992 – until now, with established game management practices and anti-poaching programs, we have contributed to making this area one of the best free game lands in Africa today.
Our base camp is ideally located centrally in the hunting area, allowing easy access to every corner of our 500,000-acre hunting block.
Built under the branches of huge Msasa trees, the birds and the little Red Duiker have made our concession their home. The hunting camp has 10 East African-style tents, each with a private bathroom with hot and cold running water.
The camp has 24-hour electricity and is solar-powered with a backup generator.
